Join us for an afternoon breakout session on February 27 from 3:30PM-4:30PM. This session will cover “Active Shooter Preparedness” with Sergeant Josh Fink of the Hastings Police Department. During the training, the following topics will be discussed:
- Trends and statistics of Active Shooter Incidents
- What to expect from a law enforcement response
- Suggested best practices and recommendations

Presenter: Sergeant Josh Fink has been an officer with the Hastings Police Department for over 12 years. He worked as a night shift officer/supervisor for 10 years, before becoming the Administrative Supervisor for the department. Within the Hastings PD, Sergeant Fink is the Lead Firearms Instructor, a senior Defensive Tactics Instructor, an Active Shooter Response Instructor, and senior Tactical Medical Instructor. He is also the Team Leader for the Tactical Response Team (SWAT) and has obtained numerous certifications on managing critical incidents, use of force concepts, and school response protocols.
