Provides support, service and solutions to the organization on broad range of human resource services and facilitates human resource activities within the Bryan Health System. Provides focused direction and leadership over employee relations to include; advising and counseling leaders and employees on the Bryan Health coaching and corrective action program, employee recognition, training and consulting on retention strategies to improve the overall employee experience

  1. Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values.
  2. Provides assistance to leadership on the Bryan Health coaching and corrective action program, to include disciplinary issues, terminations, employee concerns, performance improvement opportunities and related support.
  3. Designs and executes the employee recognition and retention programs.
  4. Trains and coaches leadership on effective handling of employee issues to improve employee relations and overall performance.
  5. Ensures that policies and procedures related to employee relations are administered effectively and consistently.
  6. Ensures that all HR actions related to employee relations are consistent with all state and federal legal requirements.
  7. Works to improve Human Resource’s communication effectiveness with all departments and employees.
  8. Stays up-to-date on Employee Health Service functions including workers’ compensation, FMLA use and short-term disability (STD).
  9. Keeps senior leadership apprised of employee relations and retention issues.
  10. Assists with effective transition of new employee groups/departments into the organization.
  11.  Stays up-to-date on changes in the HR profession and communicates those changes to internal customers.
  12. Serves as a key ambassador for Human Resources within the organization, establishing strong relationships with leaders and employees.
  13. Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
  14. Participates in meetings, committees and department projects as assigned.
  15. Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field required. Minimum of five (5) years experience in human resources with an emphasis in employee relations required. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
