Join us for a Lunch & Learn on September 13 from 11:30am-1:00pm. This session will cover Fall Fundamentals: What’s Old and New in Workplace Law with speakers Mark Fahleson, Tara Paulson, and Julie Ward, Attorneys at Law with Rembolt Ludtke. Registration and lunch begins at 11:30am with the presentation to follow from 12:00-1:00pm.

With autumn just around the corner, what better time to catch up on what we missed over the summer and review some time-honored principles of employment and labor law. The attorneys from Rembolt Ludtke LLP will present on recent cases and workplace law developments and what’s expected for the remainder of 2022. They will also discuss several bedrock axioms of employment law intended to help you and your organization avoid employee lawsuits.

Presenters:

Mark Fahleson has nearly 30 years of experience in employment and labor law, representing and advising businesses, organizations, insurers, and governmental bodies/officials. His zealous yet cost-effective representation has resulted in numerous successful verdicts from federal and state court judges and juries. Fahleson serves as an adjunct professor teaching Employment Law at the University of Nebraska College of Law and was named one of Nebraska’s best labor and employment law attorneys in the 2022 edition of Chambers USA.

Tara Paulson represents businesses and organizations on myriad employment and labor law issues. Tara is often retained as an attorney workplace investigator and trainer on discrimination, harassment, and other workplace issues. She also has significant experience in employment litigation, including matters involving federal, state, and local employment laws. Tara’s experience and skill earned her recognition as Lawyer of the Year (Management) for 2022 by The Best Lawyers in America for Lincoln, Nebraska.

Julie Ward has significant experience as an attorney, including work as in-house counsel for regional and international companies where her work centered on business and employment law matters. Her ability to distill complex legal problems into easy to understand solutions is of significant benefit to our clients. When litigation arises, Julie zealously advocates on behalf of clients while keeping the focus on the client’s goals and how to achieve success in a cost-effective manner.
