Join us for a Lunch & Learn on July 20 from 11:30am-1:00pm. This session will cover Social Media in the Workplace: Best Practices for Employers with speaker Sue Loerts with Jackson Lewis. Registration and lunch begins at 11:30am with the presentation to follow from 12:00-1:00pm.
In this session you will learn when employees can be disciplined for social media activities, some employer liability pitfalls, and what employers can do to prevent problems with employee use of social media in and out of the workplace.
Registration closes Friday, July 15 at 5pm.
Presenter: Sue Loerts is an attorney in the Omaha, Nebraska, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. She has 30 years of experience as a human resources and legal executive and in-house counsel in technology, healthcare and publishing organizations in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors. She practices in all areas of employment law, proactively advising clients on preventative actions. Sue represents employers before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of Labor, and OSHA, handling claims and investigations.
