Bosselman Enterprises is hiring a Payroll Specialist!


The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the completion of and processing payroll. This position will consistently deliver accurate and on-time payroll. The Payroll Specialist will ensure compliance in payroll with all federal and state laws, governmental agency reporting, system configuration, tax laws and follow detailed procedures to ensure accuracy in documentation and data management.

Essential Job Duties/Functions:

  • Accurately and timely process payroll for all company divisions.
  • Process garnishments and child support orders.
  • Work with payroll vendor to process year end W-2’s and year end processes.
  • Process income verifications.
  • Process annual EEO-1 reports.
  • Work with the payroll vendor to ensure accurate information for tax reporting. Complete payroll tax reconciliation process.
  • Administer employee benefit programs such as health, dental, vision, short and long term disability, life insurance, supplemental coverage policies, retirement and flexible spending and HSA accounts.
  • Maintain confidentiality; ensuring information is handled discreetly. Perform internal audits and balancing of payroll information to ensure accuracy and completeness of recording keeping.
  • Develop census data for insurance carriers quotations.
  • Prepare reports and applications required by law to be filed with federal and state agencies, such as the Internal Revenue Service, Department of Labor, and any other regulatory agencies.
  • Handles payroll inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution.
  • Assist department team members as needed.
  • Display honest, trustworthy and ethical behavior when dealing with internal and external customers.
  • Display enthusiasm and promote a friendly group working environment.
  • Regular attendance that is punctual and dependable is required.
  • Providing friendly and competent customer service.


Additional Job Duties:

  • Assist in other HR related duties as assigned by HR Director.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Provide lead supervision over Benefits Administrator I if applicable or HR Admin. employee. Works independently and displays a high level of independent discretion in managing company wide payroll and benefit plans.


Experience and/or Experience (include certs or licenses needed):

  • Associate’s degree in business or related field and three years’ experience in payroll role.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Previous Human Resources experience.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time during peak periods.
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local payroll and benefits law and regulation.
  • Highly organized with a record of prioritizing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be able to communicate in English. – IF APPLICABLE
  • Able and willing to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service.
  • Able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members.
